BLACKBECK BREWERY (A9) ![]() Blackbeck Inn, Egremont Cumbria CA22 2NY Tel.: 01946 841661 Email : drink@blackbeckbrewery.co.uk Website : www.blackbeckbrewery.co.uk Brewer : ??????????? Capacity : 5 barrel plant Construction of the Brewery is now complete, in a purpose built extension to the Blackbeck Inn. Brewing trials are starting. The plant was designed and installed by the Taylor brothers with Peter Laws acting as a Consultant. The Brewery is jointly run by Johnnie Taylor and his business partner Kenny O'Hara. The Taylor family have a long history in the local pub and hotel trade having previously been licensees at the Turks Head in Whitehaven for 40 years prior to acquiring the Blackbeck Inn. Regular beers Trial Run (OG????, ABV 3.8%) Light and fruity golden ale, a good session beer complimented by a hoppy finish. Blackbeck Belle (OG????, ABV 3.8%) Deviously dark and chocolaty with a kick, Brewed by the girls of the brewery to a secret sensual recipe.

KIRKBY LONSDALE BREWERY (G12) ![]() Old Station Yard, Kirkby Lonsdale Cumbria LA6 2HP Tel.: 015242 72221 Email : info@kirkbylonsdalebrewery.com Website : www.kirkbylonsdalebrewery.com Head Brewer : Stuart Taylor Capacity : 6 barrel plant Brewery owned and operated by the Taylor family, who also own the Orange Tree Hotel in the town. Purpose built installation supplied by David Porter. Commissioned in February 2009, and their first brew quickly sold out at the Orange Tree. Initially 2 or 3 regular brews planned before moving into a broader range. Beer names will be based upon local place names. Local distribution by restored classic dray wagon. Plan to bottle beers. Regular Beers Green Dragon IPA (OG????, ABV 3.6%) Brewed with Maris Otter and amber malt, and harvest fresh Goldings hops to give a zingy tang. Malty with typical IPA smoothness. Ruskin's Bitter (OG1039, ABV 3.9%) Brewed using Maris Otter malted barley and Magnum and Brewers Gold hops. Fruity and spicy character, with a lsting dry finish. Radical (OG????, ABV 4.2%) Ruby red, brewed wth Maris Otter, crystal and black malts with English and European hops. A malty beer with some sweetness. Monumental (OG????, ABV 4.5%) Wonderfully golden coloured ale, brewed with Maris Otter extra pale barley with English and Slovakian Golding hops. Distinct floral mouth and nose feel. Chekeby (OG????, ABV 5.5%) A wheat beer. Jubilee (OG????, ABV 5.5%) Powerful Stout, brewed with a selection of chocolate and black malts with a hint of roasted barley. Smooth, with hints of pale malt and liquorice show through. |
